We have been prepping for years, mostly because We live on the Texas Gulf Coast, 23 miles inland. Hurricane season around here can be crazy and unpredictable.
Lately, We have stepped it up a little due to the current atmosphere created by the divides in our country. I have many bookmarks and have researched hundreds of sites, manuals, articles, etc. I decided I would make much of this available to others by starting a small website.
I have tried to weed out all the commercially cluttered websites/links. So many have become monetized, it's ridiculous trying to wade through the ads to find content. I absolutely detest pop up windows of any type and those dumb floating icons for sharing with 200 different social media sites. I try to weed it all out.
Anyone can read the directory. In order to create threads or replies, you must be a registered user. Registration is free, this is only to help reduce spam from guest users here only to post links to their advertisements of viagra and car warranties.
Any text in blue is a link you can click on.
As you scroll through the list of categories and sub categories, take note of two major labels, Topic Discussion and Link Directory. 'Topic Discussion' is a forum for users (registered members) to post in, sharing information, ideas and ask questions. 'Link Directory' is locked from users posting. This is where you will find links to other websites.
I'm not big on writing a lot, the Directory Blog will mostly be filled with links and updates. Maybe some day that'll change, maybe not.
This directory will always be a work in progress. Currently the focus is on general United States. Eventually, more countries and territories will be added. Even though there may be some differences, hopefully some of this information will be useful no matter where you're located.
